As a local chapter of AAJA, we strive to reach out to the community and help Asian and Middle Eastern groups understand how they can work with the media in our area. AAJA-NC held media access workshops in 2006 and 2007 locally, and we are co-organizing a media access workshop for the national UNITY convention in Chicago this July.
